Mate is an award-winning cinematographer with a distinguished international career. He holds BA, MA, and DLA degrees from the National University of Theatre and Film Arts in Hungary and the NFS in England. Beginning as a Director of Photography at an early age, he has collaborated with leading commercial directors in London, Milan, Budapest, Shanghai, Bangkok, and Tokyo. He is a two-time recipient of Best Cinematography at Hungary’s National Film Academy Awards, a two-time Golden Eye winner for commercial cinematography, and has received the Hungarian Film Critics’ Award. His work with Hermann Vaske on the Hornbach campaign earned a Cannes Lion.
